Thyroid Treatment in Hyderabad
A thyroid tablet corrects your hormone level — it does not fix fatigue, weight and gut symptoms on its own. At Ravide Wellness, Dr. Ravi Vide builds the nutrition and lifestyle management that sits alongside your endocrinologist's treatment.
Overview of Thyroid Treatment
- We read your full panel — TSH, free T3, free T4 and anti-TPO — not just a single TSH figure
- Iodine, selenium, zinc, iron and vitamin D status assessed, as each affects thyroid function
- A diet plan built around Indian meals, with sensible guidance on goitrogenic foods
- Timing of your tablet relative to food, calcium, iron and coffee explained clearly
- Gut health, stress and sleep addressed, since these influence how you feel at any given TSH
- Full coordination with your endocrinologist — medication decisions always remain theirs
Thyroid Problems We Treat: Hypothyroidism & Hashimoto's
Two people with identical TSH readings can feel completely different. We work on what your program can actually change.
Hypothyroidism, Fatigue & Hair Fall
Nutritional support where tiredness, cold intolerance, hair fall and sluggishness persist despite a TSH that has been brought into range.
Hashimoto's Thyroiditis & High TPO Antibodies
An anti-inflammatory, nutrient-repleting approach for autoimmune thyroid disease, with realistic expectations about what diet can influence.
Hyperthyroidism, Weight Loss & Muscle Depletion
Restoring weight, muscle and micronutrient status where an overactive thyroid has depleted them, working closely with your endocrinologist.
Thyroid With Weight Gain, PCOS & Insulin Resistance
Combined planning where thyroid dysfunction overlaps with PCOS or insulin resistance, which is a very common and frequently under-addressed pattern.
Thyroid Diet Chart for Indian Meals
Clear guidance on iodised salt, cruciferous vegetables, soy, millets and supplement timing — with the nutrient density needed to actually address fatigue, not just avoid foods.
Get Your Thyroid PlanOur 5-Step Approach to Thyroid Treatment
The aim is to feel well, not merely to have a number in range — those two things are not always the same.
-
STEP 01

TSH, T3, T4 & Anti-TPO Test Review
We look at TSH, free T3, free T4 and antibody status together, alongside your symptom pattern and how long you have been on treatment.
-
STEP 02

Iodine, Selenium & Zinc Deficiency Check
Selenium, zinc, iron, vitamin D and B12 all influence gland function and energy. We identify real deficiencies rather than supplementing on assumption.
-
STEP 03

Thyroid-Friendly Foods & Portion Guidance
Adequate protein, steady blood sugar and sensible iodine, with goitrogenic vegetables handled proportionately rather than banned outright.
-
STEP 04

Gut Health, Stress & Lingering Thyroid Symptoms
Absorption, chronic stress and poor sleep all affect how you feel at a given hormone level. This is often where lingering symptoms finally shift.
-
STEP 05

Repeat TSH Testing & Endocrinologist Review
Bloods are rechecked at appropriate intervals and shared with your doctor. Any dose adjustment is their call, informed by the trend.

Frequently Asked Questions
Practical answers about nutrition, medication and the foods people worry about.
Can diet replace my thyroid tablet?
No. If your thyroid gland cannot produce enough hormone, no diet will make it do so, and stopping levothyroxine can be genuinely dangerous — particularly in pregnancy or heart disease. Nutrition addresses the symptoms medication does not reach: energy, weight, gut health and nutrient deficiencies.
Which foods should I avoid in thyroid problems?
Fewer than most lists suggest. Goitrogenic foods such as cabbage, cauliflower and soy matter mainly at very high raw intakes combined with iodine deficiency, which is uncommon where iodised salt is used. Cooking reduces the effect considerably. Losing these vegetables costs you fibre and nutrients for a benefit most people never see.
Why am I still tired when my TSH is normal?
This is one of the most common reasons people come to us. Iron deficiency, low vitamin D or B12, poor sleep, anaemia, low protein intake, depression and gut problems all produce identical fatigue. A normal TSH rules out one cause, not all of them, so we look systematically at the rest.
Does thyroid always cause weight gain?
Not always, and the amount is usually smaller than people expect — often a few kilograms, much of it fluid. Untreated hypothyroidism slows metabolism modestly. Once treatment is stable, weight tends to respond to the same factors as anyone else's, which is generally encouraging news.
Is iodised salt enough or do I need iodine supplements?
For most people in India, iodised salt used consistently in cooking covers requirements. Excess iodine can worsen autoimmune thyroid disease, so supplementing without testing is a real risk rather than a safe default. We check status first and only recommend supplementation where it is justified.
Can diet reduce Hashimoto's thyroid antibodies?
Correcting selenium and vitamin D deficiency has some supporting evidence for antibody levels, and an anti-inflammatory pattern with good gut health often helps symptoms. We would not promise antibodies will normalise. This is a realistic component of thyroid treatment and management in Hyderabad, working with your endocrinologist rather than around them.
