Liver Issues Treatment in Hyderabad
Liver disease covers a wide range — fatty liver, hepatitis, fibrosis and cirrhosis — and each one needs a different diet. What helps fatty liver can be exactly wrong in cirrhosis. At Ravide Wellness, Dr. Ravi Vide reads your reports first, then builds nutrition support that fits your specific diagnosis and works alongside your treating doctor.
Overview of Liver Issues
- Your plan starts from real reports — LFT, ultrasound or FibroScan, viral markers and albumin
- Nutrition matched to your actual diagnosis, because fatty liver, hepatitis and cirrhosis need very different diets
- Foods that support liver function: adequate protein, fibre, colourful vegetables, coffee and omega-3 sources
- Clear limits on what strains the liver — alcohol, added sugar, refined flour, reheated oils and very salty food
- Healthy weight, muscle mass and daily movement, which change liver outcomes more than any single food
- An honest review of herbal liver tonics and supplements, a documented cause of liver injury in India
Liver Problems We Treat: Fatty Liver, Hepatitis & Cirrhosis
Liver disease sits on a spectrum, and the right diet shifts at every stage. We establish where you are before writing a plan.
Fatty Liver & NAFLD (MASLD) Treatment
Reducing liver fat through lower refined carbohydrate, sugar and fried-food intake, with gradual weight reduction. Your ultrasound grade guides how firm the calorie and carbohydrate targets need to be.
High SGPT & SGOT Liver Enzyme Levels
Dietary correction where raised enzymes have a metabolic cause, plus a careful review of medicines and supplements. Persistently high readings may warrant a FibroScan or fibrosis score before diet alone is relied on.
Liver Inflammation & Hepatitis B, C Support
Viral hepatitis is treated with antiviral medicine, not food. Nutrition protects weight, muscle and vitamin D status during treatment, and we advise avoiding alcohol and raw shellfish completely.
Liver Fibrosis & Early-Stage Liver Scarring
Early fibrosis can improve when the underlying cause is removed. We focus on an anti-inflammatory eating pattern, weight reduction where relevant, and complete removal of alcohol.
Cirrhosis: Protein, Salt & Small Frequent Meals
Cirrhosis needs more protein, not less, along with a late-evening snack to prevent overnight muscle breakdown. Salt is restricted where there is fluid retention, and we screen for muscle loss.
Alcohol-Related Liver Disease Recovery
Complete cessation remains the single most important step, and we support that alongside your physician. Nutrition then repletes the thiamine, B-vitamin, protein and mineral gaps alcohol commonly leaves.
Foods to Eat and Avoid for Liver Health
Specific guidance on rice portions, cooking oils, protein sources, salt and the sugar hiding in everyday drinks — built around the food your family already cooks, and adjusted to the stage of your liver condition.

Weight reduction helps fatty liver and fibrosis, while muscle preservation matters most in advanced disease. We set whichever target fits your stage.
-
STEP 05

Supplement Safety Check & Repeat LFT
We check every tonic and supplement you take for liver risk, then recheck bloods at sensible intervals and adjust based on what your reports show.

Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers on what nutrition can and cannot do across different liver conditions.
Which foods are good for liver health?
Adequate protein from dals, eggs, fish, curd and paneer; plenty of fibre and colourful vegetables; whole grains in controlled portions; and healthy fats from nuts and seeds. Coffee is consistently associated with better liver outcomes. No single food repairs the liver, so the overall pattern matters far more than any superfood.
Which foods should I avoid with liver problems?
Alcohol first, in every liver condition without exception. Then sugar-sweetened drinks, packaged juices, refined flour products, deep-fried items and repeatedly reheated oils. Raw or undercooked shellfish is unsafe in advanced liver disease. Where fluid retention is present, salty foods such as pickles, papad and packaged snacks are restricted too.
Should I eat less protein if I have cirrhosis?
No, and this is the most damaging myth we correct. Older advice restricted protein, but current guidance from liver societies recommends more — roughly 1.2 to 1.5 grams per kilogram daily — spread across small frequent meals with a late-evening snack, because overnight fasting drives muscle breakdown. Protein restriction worsens malnutrition and outcomes.
Can diet reverse liver damage or cure liver disease?
Early fatty liver and early fibrosis often improve substantially when the cause is removed and weight comes down. Established cirrhosis involves permanent scarring that diet cannot undo, though good nutrition meaningfully reduces complications and protects muscle. We will not tell you food cures liver disease, because it does not.
Does nutrition help if I have hepatitis B or C?
Yes, as a support to antiviral treatment rather than an alternative to it. Hepatitis C is curable with modern antivirals and hepatitis B is controllable, so seeing a hepatologist comes first. Nutrition then helps maintain weight and muscle, corrects vitamin D and B-vitamin gaps, and keeps alcohol and hepatotoxic supplements out.
Do liver detox drinks and herbal liver tonics work?
Rarely, if at all, and some carry real risk. Herbal and supplement-induced liver injury is well documented in India, with several widely sold products implicated in serious cases. Your liver already detoxifies. As part of liver disease treatment in Hyderabad we review everything you are taking and recommend supplements only where testing shows a genuine deficiency.
