Renal nutrition and kidney diet planning at Ravide Wellness Hyderabad

Overview of Kidney Issues

  • We begin with your latest reports — eGFR, creatinine, urea, electrolytes and urine findings
  • A kidney diet plan calibrated to your stage, not a generic renal diet chart copied from a book
  • Sodium, potassium and phosphorus mapped across the Indian foods you actually eat daily
  • Protein right-sized to protect muscle without adding avoidable load on the kidneys
  • Fluid and hydration guidance matched to your output, medication and season
  • Coordinated with your medical kidney treatment and revised as your bloodwork changes

Common Kidney Problems We Treat: CKD, High Creatinine & Kidney Stones

Kidney nutrition is rarely one-size-fits-all — the right plan for stage 2 CKD looks nothing like the right plan for recurrent stones. We read your reports first, then build the plan.

Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) Treatment

Stage-appropriate nutrition that manages sodium, potassium and phosphorus while keeping meals varied enough to actually follow.

High Creatinine & Urea Treatment

Protein portioned to your body weight and stage — enough to hold muscle, measured enough to avoid unnecessary filtration load.

Kidney Stone Treatment & Prevention

Fluid targets, salt reduction and oxalate awareness tuned to your stone type, instead of blanket bans on calcium or vegetables.

Diabetic Kidney Disease Treatment

Nutrition that steadies blood sugar and blood pressure together — the two biggest drivers of kidney decline in India.

Our 5-Step Approach to Kidney Treatment in Hyderabad

The goal is not a stricter diet — it is a sustainable one that protects remaining kidney function while you keep eating well. Explore our wider wellness programs.

  1. STEP 01

    Personalized Kidney Care Plans

Your reports, medications, appetite, weight history and a full day of eating reviewed before a single change is suggested.

  2. STEP 02

Low Sodium Diet & Fluid Intake Guidance

Where your salt is actually coming from — pickles, papad, packaged snacks, restaurant food — and how much fluid suits your output.

  3. STEP 03

    Kidney Nutrition & Protein Guidance

Quantity and quality of protein matched to your eGFR, with vegetarian and non-vegetarian options built around dal, curd, egg and fish.

  4. STEP 04

    Potassium & Phosphorus Management

Practical swaps, cooking methods such as leaching, and label-reading skills for hidden phosphate additives in processed food.

  5. STEP 05

    Lifestyle Care & Nephrologist Coordination

Your plan is reviewed against each new report and adjusted, so nutrition and medical treatment stay pointed in the same direction.

A note on your medical care: kidney nutrition must be supervised. Potassium, phosphorus, protein and fluid targets change with your stage and can be unsafe if guessed at. Please stay under the care of a nephrologist, continue your prescribed medication, and share this plan with them. Our nutrition programs are designed to work alongside medical treatment and dialysis care, not to replace either.

Kidney Treatment: Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about kidney nutrition care at Ravide Wellness, answered honestly.

Which kidney problems do you treat at Ravide Wellness?

Chronic kidney disease across its earlier and later stages, raised creatinine and urea, recurrent kidney stones, protein in the urine, and kidney changes driven by diabetes or long-standing high blood pressure. We also support nutrition for people already on dialysis, working strictly within the targets set by their nephrologist and dialysis unit.

Can kidney damage be reversed with treatment?

No, and we will not tell you otherwise. Kidney damage that has already occurred is generally not reversible. What good nutrition can realistically do is reduce avoidable strain on the kidneys, help control blood pressure and blood sugar, correct nutrient gaps, and support how you feel day to day. In early-stage kidney disease that combination can matter a great deal over the long run.

Can kidney patients eat dal, rice and normal Indian food?

Almost never. Dal, rice, roti, curd and vegetables usually stay — what changes is the quantity, the cooking method and the combinations. We use techniques such as soaking and leaching for high-potassium vegetables, adjust portion sizes rather than eliminating staples, and prioritise cutting salt, pickles, papad and packaged food, which is where most of the damage actually sits.

How much water should kidney patients drink daily?

It depends entirely on your stage, your urine output, your heart condition and whether you are on dialysis. Some people need to drink considerably more; others must restrict fluid tightly. This is exactly the kind of target we set alongside your nephrologist rather than from a general rule, because getting it wrong in either direction carries real risk.

Will you ask me to stop my kidney medication?

Never. We do not start, stop, change or substitute any prescription, and we do not recommend herbal or over-the-counter supplements for kidney patients without medical clearance, because several are cleared through the kidneys and can be harmful. Your medication stays exactly as your doctor has set it.

How often will my kidney care plan be reviewed?

Typically after each new set of blood reports, or roughly every four to eight weeks in the early phase. Kidney nutrition is not a document you receive once. As eGFR, potassium, phosphorus and albumin shift, the plan has to shift with them, and appetite or weight changes are reviewed at the same time.

Can kidney patients eat banana and drink coconut water?

Not universally. Restriction depends on your serum potassium and your stage, and many people in earlier CKD do not need to limit fruit at all. Where potassium is genuinely high, we work with quantity, frequency and preparation rather than a permanent ban, and we recheck against your next report. Blanket avoidance advice circulating on social media causes a lot of unnecessary anxiety and unnecessary nutrient loss.

How do I start kidney treatment in Hyderabad?

Book a consultation and bring your most recent kidney function tests, urine reports and a list of your current medication. The first session at our Hyderabad centre covers your reports, your usual meals and your routine, after which you receive a written kidney diet plan you can share with your nephrologist. Follow-up reviews are scheduled around your next set of blood tests.
